I went to this shop to purchase a fabric upholstery cleaner for my car. The salesman handed over a cleanser that was marked for Leather. I insisted on getting me the one for fabric, but he claimed it worked well on leather as well as fabric and they have been using it for quite some time on their own cars. I bought the product but thought of confirming with the manufacturer since I didn’t wish to ruin my upholstery and so emailed them. Here is the reply I received:
Hi there!
I purchased GC Rich Leather Cleaner/Conditioner that was imported to India by a local company. My question: I wanted a fabric upholstery cleaner and NOT a leather cleaner. The salesman told me it works well on fabric upholstery too. I am concerned if it really would help me or ruin my upholstery. Please advise.
Raj.
Our Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner and Conditioner is strictly for leather. It is not meant to clean or condition fabric upholstery. If you have any further questions, please contact us direct.

I went the next day to the shop, and spoke to the owner, he put all the blame on his staff saying they are ignorant, and handed me another product. It clearly stated "For Vinyl & Rubber". Since I already had a bad experience I asked him about it and he claimed it works well on fabric too. On further reading the instructions on the can it says "Not to be used on fabric". Clearly these guys have no idea what products they have or what a customer needs. They just have a bunch of old stock they are trying to frantchandru021y sell off. Its a lousy place, and I would never recommend anyone to even consider this dealer for any car accessories. There are lots of feedbacks about this dealer on team-bhp. Stay away from them!
