Fedup with the shipping time taken by Caratlane

After reading all the reviews here, I thought of purchasing gold coin from caratlane.com on 19th April 2013. My order no is 600009199 (Let their rep see this). I have purchased it through credit card & I have got the confirmation mail from caratlane that they have received the order & will be processing it by **22nd or 23rd**. when contacted on 22nd, again they have informed that since there are lot of order inflows, coin shortage, they cant deliver it by 23rd as promised & that they will be delivering it by **27th** for sure. Again when contacted, they sang the same song again & again. They said they are waiting for fresh stocks & then it will be hallmarked & then dispatched. Its already 10 days & still they have not decided to dispatch it. It may be that the gold prices have increased nearly 4% & they are waiting for the gold prices to crash again :D


They are just copy pasting same message again & again whenever contacted through chat. Nobody cares to respond properly. I dont think 10gm / 20gm coins are in that much demand / that much shortage in supply. I can see demand/shortage in supply only in 1 /2 /5 gm gold coins. Even the Jewellery shops are ready to give 10gm gold coin & say only 1/2/5 gm coins are not readily available, and we have to wait for 2-3 days for delivery. Since they said they will be delivering it on 29th / 30th, I just checked status today for the same & as I expected, they said they will be dispatching it on **2nd of May.** HOW STUPID IS THAT????? How can they take it very lightly???? I feel as if I am begging...


I have purchased 2gm coin from ebay.in on **22nd** & to my surprise, I got it on **25th** itself. How can they manage to dispatch it?? simple here ebay will release the payment to the seller only after the buyer confirm the receipt of goods. so they have dispatched promptly. But I don’t want to confirm the item receipt till 3rd of May which is the last day for the confirmation.


I have attached screenshot of my purchase & let them decide what to do. For sure I am not going to use this f****** site & never recommend to anyone.
