The sales person sold me solitaire earrings on the basis that it’s GIA certified. When asked for a certificate, they gave me BIS certificate (certificate for purity of gold/ silver) and said getting the GIA cert. would cost extra. On reaching their customer care service, they informed that their products are internally certified and I will have to buy a customized earrings I.e. purchase a GIA certified solitaire from their website and place an order for earring as I won’t get the refund of the money - So, I made a forced purchase :/
I have had a very poor experience with Caratlane and would not recommend anyone to purchase diamonds from their store. They have limited options at a relatively high cost. They are kind of spoiling Tanishq reliability and brand name.
P.S.: To my surprise, the GIA certified solitaire were less expensive as compared to Caratlane certified diamonds
