I can see clearly now

Your eyes are one of the most important things you have so you need to take care of them.

Go at least once a year for an eye exam and if you are told you need glasses be sure and wear them. Some people don’t want to because they don’t like wearing glasses. The first time I was told I had to wear them I never did until I went back for my next visit and my eyesight had gotten worse so have been wearing them ever since.

For those of us that spend a lot of time at the computer, this causes a lot of strain on the eyes and you need breaks from it. Just closing your eyes and resting them a few minutes every couple of hours will help.

Do not sit too close to the monitor. Sit back as far as you can and still be able to reach the keyboard. The same goes for television, you should never sit too close too it. The closer you are the more strain you are putting on your eyes.

Sometimes you can get dry, irritated eyes from pollen or even dust in the air and there are products usually in drop form you can get to help this.

Be sure and get the proper amount of sleep so that your eyes are focusing the way they should be.

Be very careful when applying make-up not to get any in your eyes.

When doing work around the house such as scraping woodwork to prepare for painting wear safety glasses as you can get a chip of paint in your eye very easy and trust me it is very painful. That was another lesson I learned the hard way. Fortunately it didn’t do any permanent damage to my eye but it could have. If you get anything in your eyes at all seek help immediately.
