*I prefer to snack on beer, when I am hungry, thirsty and tired, usually at the end of the day.
I consume 5-6 bottles a month.I have enjoyed Kingfisher Lager the most followed by Sandpiper.Fosters, London pilsner, kalyani Blackknight., etc.
My least preferred have been the 5000, 6000, Bullet and the other strong beers and of course Golden eagle coz of the nasty musty odour.I tried Budweiser, It has nothing to rave about, and no way better than our Desi Kingfisher in any aspect.
I just chanced into Calsberg beer in Pondicherry.Let me share my views on it:
1.Bottle is different and distinct with Calsberg logo molded into the Bottle in 4 places.
2.A Distinct green bottle.
3.They believe in premium pricing of Rs 20/- per bottle compared to other brands .
4.Tastes totally different and is claimed as "ALL MALT PREMIUM BEER’..........(You can’t make any beer without malting barley!)Taste is smooth and pleasant.
5.Smells like Overripe apples and grapes..(.I guess MBL beer used to smell so)
6.After downloading the bottle, it feels no better than a Sandpipera!
Yes, The Distinct bottle , Different taste........and the Different pricing may make a difference to a few;but not to many.
The large difference in cost is not justified.
Try it for it’s difference.
