This is about Carnation Kurla, their flagship outlet. Do not for a moment believe their claims about superior cost-effective service compared to authorised service dealers. I had sent my car for servicing and repair of AC at 9 am on 27th Dec. 2010. Their service agent called to say that the car AC needed just gas to be filled. I told him that I had filled gas just a week back and that cannot be the problem. Next, they reverted in evening that the cars AC coil needs to be replaced. I told them that the coil has been replaced about a year back and could not have developed a leak so early. But they insisted on its replacement and I agreed reluctantly. The car was delivered on 28th late evening. Bill, Rs 20, 839/-.
I found on 30th that AC still does not cool. So I sent it again on 8th Jan morning. After that, no news about car till I contacted them on 8th evening and 9th morning when I was told that the car can be returned only on 10th morning. I was told now that AC thermostst needs to be replaced and the car can be returned on 11th. But I will have to bear costs of around Rs 3500/-. So after pying through nose and keeping car for 6 days, they wanted more moneys. I declined and wrote to Mr Khattar but no response.
I took back the car in disgust and vowed to never go to them again.
