One of his finest

I enjoyed Carrie from the start to the finish. It is one of the finest examples of the underdog winning, and how! In Kings usual style he has taken scenarios that are quite commonplace, isolated weird kid with religious single mother gets bullied by the so called perfect teenagers until something inside her snaps and she comes back with a vengance and twisted it to suit his own macabre ends. While not particularly super-natural in theme it none the book delivers some very potent thrills. Was also made into a very enjoyable movie that retained a lot of the atmosphere of the book.
