I bought a Carrier AC by the name Estella, 1.5 tonnes window AC. I bought it coz the guy who comes to service my Electrolux AC did not turn up and I had a new guy coming over to my place to do the Annual maintenance so that the AC can be made functional. Well the new Technician strongly recommended a Carrier, a Durocool. I got something with an even better star rating and that was a Estilla.
Well day one - the sheer amount of noise that the AC made has kept me up all night and I have gone crazy after that. It is a train and a Small truck idling away next to you. The dealer has been very nice and said that he will send the technical guy to look into it and then the noise will be minimal.The service engineer came to check and said that the noise level was normal and was within the acceptable limit. If that is the acceptable limit then I think they should try sell these to the western world ONLY!.
Please don’t buy a Carrier Window if you need some peace of mind.
