After a long search finally bought this cooling beast.(Carrier Durakool Star 1T - 4Star Split AC)
I had some preferences:
. Reasonable price
. 4 or 5 Star Rating
. From a brand.
. Split AC.
My initial selections were Godrej Eon series, LG AC’s etc.
I left out Samsung AC’s as there were a lot of complaints regarding them(Personally I feel Samsung is awesome for display related products only).
Later after some market research and review hunt I understood that Brands like Daikin, BlueStar, Carrier and Hitachi are best for AC’s because all these brands has primarily cooling and refrigeration oriented products unlike Godrej, LG, Samsung etc. So they had to be good as their USP depends on it.
From the above preferences all were met, just the price is a bit high. It cost me Rs. 27800+(around Rs. 2400 for AC wires, copper tubes etc)+ 2000(installation charges). So in total Rs 32000. I bought the AC from Asansol, WB.
I am very happy with this purchase. In my native the temperature soars to 47deg max and averages around 45deg on average but the cooling is too good, very cool and soothing. An LCD remote is provided with all the features controllable through it.
Once the AC is switched on the cooling unit starts a bit later and then the room is cooled instantly.
A highly recommended no-frills AC, does what promises.
