I purchased a Carrier Split AC in 2023, and from the get-go, it failed to cool effectively. Despite multiple attempts to fix it, including gas refills by both the retailer’s service providers and themselves, the issue persisted. Now, just two years later, I’m facing the same problem again, with the gas needing refilling for the fourth time. It’s absurd that a relatively new AC would require such frequent maintenance. When I requested a replacement early on, I was given the runaround, with promises of Carrier Split engineers fixing the issue, only to be told later that the replacement period had expired. Even after authorized Carrier Split service technicians refilled the gas, there’s still a leakage problem, suggesting a faulty unit. Both the retailer and Panasonic seem more interested in avoiding their responsibility than providing a satisfactory resolution. My advice: steer clear of Carrier Split ACS and opt for a cooler instead—they’re likely to cause less hassle and frustration.
