I am writing this review to share my disappointing experience with Carrier AC’s service. We purchased a Carrier air conditioner a little over a year ago. Unfortunately, just one month after the warranty expired, the AC suddenly stopped cooling.
We contacted Carrier customer care, hoping for some support. But instead of offering any flexibility, they immediately informed us that since the product was out of warranty by just a few days, we would have to pay ₹600 plus 18% GST for a technician visit.
Reluctantly, we agreed. The technician arrived and took barely 10 minutes to identify and “fix” the issue – it was just a loose wire that needed to be joined. Shockingly, he charged us ₹700 for this minor work, and even worse, he didn’t bother to tape the wire properly. When asked, he simply said, “My job is only to join the wire, not tape it.”
This experience left us extremely frustrated and regretful. Had we called a local electrician, it would have cost much less and the job would have been done more professionally.
We expected better service from a reputed brand like Carrier. Sadly, their post-sales service was disappointing and felt like a money-making scheme. We are truly unhappy with this experience and will think twice before choosing Carrier again.
