A Horrible Experience with Cars24

I purchased a car from Cars24 in the month of May 2020 making entire payment. I trusted their car evaluation reports and did not inspect the car before purchasing/making the payment.


All looked smooth and I was told that I will receive the RC within 2 months at my home address.


I waited till 3 months and finally called up the Relationship Manager only to know that there is a pending challan since 2018 on the car for over speeding. This Cars24 did not care to check before selling me the car.


I took the number of the seller, who was unwilling to pay the challan since he did not receive the delivery receipt from Cars24.


I got in touch with Cars24 and got him the receipt but challan was still not paid by him.


I was forced to pay the challan since it was still not paid by the seller. Cars24 pressed me to pay the challan.


After following up after a fortnight, I was told that Insurance has expired. I renewed the insurance within 4 hours and handed over a copy of insurance to the agent.


Still no distant signs of getting the RC.


Around 2 months back, I again got a call from someone in Cars24 that car cannot be transferred since there is no insurance. So un-ordinated they are. I anyway sent him the the copy of Insurance.


I have been in touch with RM and he always recommends me to send an email as Operations is not managed by him.


FI have been following up with all the senior folks in Cars 24, who have apologised multiple times but still not done my work. I was promised that I will finally receive my RC on October 30th and since then, they are not responding to my emails as well. Its been over 6 months and I am still unable to drive my car since there is no RC.


Please do not deal with Cars24 as they are highly irresponsible.
