I’m in the process of looking out for used cars. I didn’t believe the internet stronlgy w.r.t to this one. So I went down to streets to almost all the used car dealers in chennai on enquiry. Surprisingly I found that some of the cars displayed on their lot were put up here. Not sure if they are put up here just because they weren’t able to sell them over there. Somehow, I found that the information is accurate. I thought to share my view because this would help others.
Most of the dealers like TSM, Ushaa cars, Cars Shoppee, AutomartIndia, GTReddy advertise here. What I understand is that the dealers have a package paid for monthly or yearly subscription. Yes, this is not a free site but the payment is nominal I guess. Its about 200 Rs for 1-3 months of posting the advertsing.
I think its worth because, just 200 for selling something above 2L is ok, 0.5% is good. But make your own testing before buying the car & do not go by what internet says.

Just like to share my view on what I found lately.
This site is actually setup by all the dealers or so. They sell the car with 10% depreciation every year. Not sure if this is more than the market standard or less than market standard, but for sure the prices are expensive for used cars compared to other states. I compared with Kerala. I found a 2002 Sep model Wagon R in almost mint condition run for about 7000 Kms offered for 3 Lakhs!!! Any 2005 model Santro costed 3.5 Lakhs that’s run less than 1000 Kms per month on an average. For a 2-3 year old car, it costs almost 3L on average or if the price has to be less then the speedo reads more. So I changed my mind because, if I’m able to invest 3L on used car, better go in for a new one for 1L more & use for next 5 years & sell it 50% less.
