First time I used carzonrent cab at Bhubneshwar Airport on 15th Aug 2014. They had different packages for city tour etc. Overall very costly compared to local vendors available at Puri or Bhubaneshwar. Since I wasn’t aware of the prices, I took one package worth 2600(150 Kms, 10 hrs). From BBSR to Puri, driver drove like a pilot. He had many closed shave incidents. Even after telling him multiple times he didn’t slow down the vehicle. On the way we went to Khandgiri and Dhauligiri stoopa.
After reaching Puri, he said can’t stay here, even though 5 hrs and 69 Kms were left. He told that, package includes the to and fro journey and as per that 150 Kms are completed. Additionally drivers asked for 200 rs extra because if he add up numbers then it will become 160 Kms. When I countered him that even including return journey to BBSR it will just be 140 Kms then he kept thinking. I tried to call the BBSR office as per number given on their bill, no one picked up the phone, in fact it was switched off. After sometime with a shameless grin he started asking for a tip. First he tried to loot me then started asking for a tip . tip for what. a bad speedy drive, telling lie to me.
A very bad experience. I guess Carzonrent shouldn’t be the official partner at BBSR airport. AAI should provider better alternates.
