\My husband and I became members of the Vacation Credit Card after they called us in for a discussion and complimentary gift which was inclusive of two Indian holidays. we paid the entire membership amount at the time of joining and were told we could use our holidays whenever we pleased.
The entire reason for our joining was their assurance of hassle-free holidays. Since both my husband and I work, and it is difficult to synchronise our leaves, we asked whether the information time and confirmation time for holidays would be very long.
We were told that there would be no hassles and that they would accommodate us even at short notice. We were too busy in the past 6 months to use our holidays, but we decided to use them this month and called up VCC for information on available bookings on 5 march 09. Not only was the person answering the phone unhelpful, she also told me that the concerned person, Anita, would get back to me within 10-15 minutes and I could expect a call from them.
Over an hour later, there was still no call from them and I called back. Anita was available this time and she was very unhelpful. The first thing she said was that our holidays were not possible and we had to book them a minimum of 8 days in advance to even have confirmation or information from them. I tried to explain that our schedules are usually very packed, but this time there was no intention or enthusiasm to accomodate us at such short notice. Anita has stalled my attempts to book a holiday to a non-busy location for the past 3 days. I have not had a single call back from them in regards to my request.
In addition, she also said that she could not book a holiday even on weekdays even if I changed the date of our holiday slightly.
THESE PEOPLE ARE FRAUDS AND CHEATS. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR GIMMICKS AND WASTE YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY. WE WERE BETTER OFF ORGANISING OUR OWN HOLIDAYS INSTEAD OF TRUSTING SUCH CHEATS.
