Casio watches are very hard to describe, since there are so many of them that do so many things. Casio sells watches that do the regular things (tells time, stopwatch, alarm) But Casio watches have the following features that make the brand shine (in my opinion anyway)
Some features (on different Casio watches) include:
Altimeter
Compass
Thermometer
Camera (I own this model)
MP3 player
Heart Rate Monitor
Tide monitor
Remote Control
Data Bank
Automatic atomic time correction
Calculator
and many more...
Casios strength is in its gadgetry, they make relatively cheap watches that do interesting things. I happen to own the WQV-10, a Casio watch that has a digital camera installed. Does it take great pictures?? Not really, but that isnt the point, it is a neat little gadget. Casio also makes the G-Shock line, these watches are shock proof, and usually are good for rough enviroments. I have owned many Casio watches over the years, and all have been good to me. I never lost one just because it broke. Usually it was my fault.
Casio makes their watches with a eye to the geek. There are many watches that have several different gauges, dials, and multicolored displays, sometimes they sem stright out of Star Trek. Casio also make regular boring watches, they work OK as well, although their analog watches lose a fair amount of time fairly quickly.
The most expensive Casio watch I have seen here in the U.S is $400.00. It had a altimeter, thermometer, and it may of had a GPS locator, I am not sure on the last one, But the point I am trying to make is that the watches are not expensive, if you tire of the old one you can get a new one that does something different.
Casio watches are a lot of fun, I highly recommend them for a everyday watch
