Struggle Finding Lowers
For a long time now I was wearing tattered lowers because I find it hard to find one which I like and which fits well around the waist. Often the elastic is very bad.
A tight waistband is not just a recipe for discomfort but it can be dangerous for the health.
Of course, another problem with lowers is bad stitching. Many a time, the crotch part stitches come undone and since there is, usually, very little fabric allotted there in cheap lowers, that means it is for throwing out.
The concept of leggings is wonderful for modern day needs-we can do housework in comfort as we need to bend and squat a lot. Similarly for fitness flexibility needs. Thanks to a good pair of leggings, you can be mobile and casual. They can look like a churidar so that you can wear a kurta on top. Leggings can also contribute to a Western look if combined with a specific top.
Jabong to the Rescue
I have spent too much time looking for lowers online without being able to confidently order.
Finally, on June 16, I ordered a set of 3 lowers from Jabong, using vouchers I’d earned from doing surveys. It was just Rs. 695 which was well within the voucher amount.
As it was Free Size, I went for it, reassured that I could return/ exchange if something was wrong.
It Fits!
On June 21, Jabong delivered my CastleMulti Color Solid Legging-it was a pack of 3 of different colours(Black, white and skin colour). I tried on the black at once and it was ok. Since then I have also used the skin tone one. I’m saving the white one for wearing outside with a good top as I have used the other two at home. White may get dirty in home use. Also, during monsoon, it may get splashed on the roads. So I will use it post-monsoon.
My neighbour who dropped in also liked it.
Castle Claims
The Jabong site claims that these leggings are fashionable and feminine. Well, frankly, I don’t see how any man will want to wear them but they are not the height of fashion. I would say they are daily wear.
They are also claimed to be a must-have this season and I might agree after giving them a wash-do they dry easily in this weather? Will they be comfy if it is sweaty?
High on comfort? Well, yes, but not high-they are moderately comfortable because of the waist design-it could have been better.

Team these with a white coloured tunic to look gorgeous. Valued added tip which I look forwards to trying out. Although, since all three are single colour, I should think printed tops will go well too.
It is supposed to be solid in style but I don’t know what that means.
