I appointed Castle Packers and Movers to shift my stuff from Delhi to Bangalore. The booking was confirmed for 29th November. I received a call from a manager on 28th November evening to check if they can postpone the appointment for 30th November.
When I insisted they agreed to do it on the scheduled date. The manager failed to visit the site and sent two helpers for packing, he sent me email with the invoice asked me to take a print out of the invoice and fill it up myself, the helper signed and everything was shipped off.
I arrived in Bangalore on Sunday morning, I received a call from the Bangalore office on Monday morning informing that the boxes are more than what they speculated and they want more money. Now that they had my stuff I didn't have any choice.
However, after negotiation they forced me to agree for another INR 3000. At the time of the booking the lady at the reception named Prathna confirmed that the delivery will be made by Thursday evening(04/12/14). When I arrived their office on Monday they changed their word and said it will be delivered by Friday/Saturday.
On further follow-up with the Delhi office I realized that my stuff wasn't sent before Wednesday. The Bangalore office sent me a SMS confirming that the stuff will be delivered on Sunday. When I called on Saturday evening Mr. Hari the marketing manager said "Oh we don't know when the truck is coming, we will let you know once it's here. You will receive your stuff by Monday."
On Monday morning Mr. Nareshtold me "The truck will arrive on Tuesday evening and the stuff will be delivered on Wednesday." On Tuesday morning and spoke to Mr. Hari he said "First pay the money and then we will give you your goods." whereas according to the agreement I paid INR 10, 000 at the loading and rest of INR 13, 500 was to be paid at delivery.
When I informed them that I will raise a complaint with Consumer Forum and raise a complaint for Deficiency in Service, he responds "Do whatever you want." Finally they have agreed to deliver the items on Wednesday 10/12/14. However, I do not trust them further.
I have been harassed by them continuously for the last 10 days. They have rude, reluctant, inefficient and lying to me about the status on my items. I have fallen sick because of this harassment.
