Good Show!

I saw this movie today morning and thought that it had been a while since I had written a review. So here goes..

The movie has one of the best actors in the bisuness, Leonardo Di Caprio and Tom Hanks. Both act perfectly and suit their characters.Leonardo, 16 year old shy schoolboy with family troubles, and Tom Hanks, a a rugged, never-give-up Special Agent working for the F.B.I.The story begins quite harmlessly, with Leonardo showing his deception skills quite beautifully from the begining of his first day at school, when bullies act smart with him and in turn, how he enters and class and acts as a substitue school-teacher, and how even teaches the class French for a whole week! But Frank Abagnale’s(Leonardo) family is breaking apart. His mother is seeing someone else, and his father is running a failing bisuness.Seeing his mother being un-faithful hurts the 16 year old Frank a lot, and he runs away from home with a cheque book to a bank account supposedly having $25, 000, which his father gives him on his 16th birthday. As it turns out, all cheques bounce and Frank ends up broke. It looks like Frank Abagnale has a fascination for an airline pilot’s uniform, and with his brilliant mind, he gets into Pan American airways, donns the uniform, gets beautiful women and loads of cash and starts living a good life. But, the F.B.I are not far away. Then he settles to be a doctor, and falls in love with a nurse called Brenda, who he almost marries, had she not collaborated with the police.Even to impress her father, who is a prominent lawyer, acts as if he is a lawyer.Frank uses his brilliant brain and tricks to bring in the money and keep changing jobs, but the F.B.I is getting closer and closer. Finally, in MontRichard, where Frank’s father met his mother, F.B.I agent Tom Hanks uses the same kind of deception to get frank to put hand-cuffs on himself, and ends the game. The ending of the movie is a bit emotional, with Frank running one last time from the airplane to meet his mother, but is devastated to learn of his father’s death and that of his mother’s re-marraige and even the birth of a cute little daughter.

Frank Abagnale is sentenced to 12 years in prison. But, Tom Hanks discovers Abagnale’s intelligence in detecing Check Fraud and removes him from prison to help the F.B.I nail these criminals. At first, Frank is quite un-comfortable with the envoirnment and even tries to run away, once again donning a pilot’s uniform, but ultimately returns, to work with the F.B.I and is today a multi-millionare having caught the most notorious criminals in history.

I still cannot believe sometimes that such a man does exist, what a brain!
