My review is against Hpathy.com aswell as CCAvenue.com. I had ordered a book on Homoeopathy on HPathy.com and paid Rs. 210 for the same using my Credit Card. I was forwarded to CCAvenue.com to make my payment and got an acknowledement from CCAvenue.com for the payment. After waiting for a week for the book to be delivered, I wrote to Hpathy.com asking them for the status of the order. However no one responded to my mail. I even sent them reminder mail for replying to my query but, in vain. Its been three weeks and neither has the book been delivered to me nor is anyone responding to my mail. I believe HPathy.com is a fraud site who just collects money and then does not deliver the product. Please do not buy anything from Hpathy.com. I consider myself lucky that I bought a book only worth Rs. 210.
However, After writing to CCAvenue.com about this, they refused to do anything and said they only collect money and it is not their responsibility what the receiver does after that. Its very logical that I will ask for refund to whom I have paid the money. In my case its CCAvenue.com. After all the transaction is shown under CCAvenue.com’s name in my Credit Card Account. I believe, CCAvenue.com should also have a sense of responsibility. If they are collecting money on behalf of someone they should first of all make sure that the party on whose behalf they are collecting money is not fraud. Its understandable that incase if the product delivered by the vendor is defective or substandard, then there is nothing CCAvenue.com can do, but after paying money to them nothing happens, then what! The Vendor is not even tracable. For such cases CCAvenue.com should have a grievience redressal forum and they should atleast blacklist such clients who do not respond after paying the money. After all CCAvenue.com is the one who collects the money and give confirmation that the payment has been received.
It is actually because of CCAvenue.com’s Secure site that we trust sites like hpathy.com and make the payments. If it would not have been a secure payment site then who would go ahead and make the payment, in the first place?
I think it is very easy for any fraudster to tie up with CCAvenue.com and start collecting money by disguising their transactions as Secure. I dont think now I will ever buy anything online where the payment has to made to CCavenue.com, because anyway they do not accept any responsibility for accepting the payments and it is very easy for any fraudster to fool people under the disguise of a secure site. After all why should we pay to a third party, from whom we have not purchased anything!
