Written in the form of an adventurous story in first person narrative, I found Celestine Prophecy simple, very rich, entertaining, wise and spiritually thrilling!
When did I last get goose bumps as I read through a book? Must have been Dan Brown’s Da Vinci Code.
Those who have not heard of this book yet - let me clarify something first.
One, this work should not be brushed aside as a piece of fiction that simply tingle your bones with excitement. Take your time to understand the insights that are shared in the story. These golden insights are the key to our dramatic physical & mental evolution!
Two, Don’t brush this work again assuming it to be one of those ’spiritual, brainwashing books’. Yes there’s a current of spirituality that runs throughout the book but at no page does it even mention sarcastically or degrade any religion. Nor does it promote any religion or mission. It’s simply for the benefit of a human being whose soul will be profoundly enriched by the knowledge shared here. And I must say this book clarifies and helps me better than the countless enlightenment books stuffed in our forefathers’ library!
There are no mantras, pujas or holy verses that you need to memorise here. Just 9 insights the author James Redfield shares in the form of a story. Patiently read them, understand them and try to adopt them in your life. If done, on a regular basis, the book promises a sea change in our spirit. Didn’t I say a dramatic change in your physical self also? Hard to believe? You will understand what its about when you reach the climax where you’ll be suprised big time! I was like, "wow...is that true? Is that what happened to Mayan civilization too?" The characters in the book talk about Mayans who were said to have disappeared around 600BC! Where? Did somebody or something wipe out their existence? What happened to them? The climax answers the mystery.
If you ask me, I have not begun to practise these insights myself. I’m not sure if some of them are actually true or can be even achieved. At the very least, it has profoundly & positively changed by view of others around me, about nature or even routine events that occur in my life....
Do you feel kinda heavy with all these self help, spiritual or philosophical stuff? Fret not, be light & get entertained!
James Redfield, as I said, shares the book in the form of an adventurous, suspense thriller that has an American in hot pursuit of a timeless treasure in the wild, dense Peruvian jungles of South America complete with romance, dangerous chases, military attacks and a climax that’s mesmerising.
Are you a movie buff? The Celestine Prophecy movie was released in United States a few months ago. I wanna buy the DVD at any cost.
Verdict ~ As cliched as it may sound, I must say this book has deeply influenced my thoughts & character. Go for it, read it and as years pass by, you and I may become a witness to the Celestial Prophecy on earth....are we ready?
