I got a movie ticket booked for myself for the 9:3- PM show at Wave Cinemas, Centrestage mall noida, for Friday, 26th June 2009 and the operator over the phone confirmed one ticket and the despatch times.
In the morning today, I called up the cinema to confirm the delivery timings at my place, and got to know the following:
The ticket booked was for 28th june and
Waves does not delivers single ticket
And I was shocked to hear this, as just last night I got it confirmed on the phone at waves cinemas.
Speaking to me in a strange voice (I know it was surely not the floor manager, it was a normal telephone operator) trying to act like the floor manager with a changed voice and broken english who said that he shall cancel my ticket and cannot do anything about it.
He also blatantly said that they cant commit such mistakes and was not ready to accept the lack of training that their telephone operators have.
The real story:
Wave Cinemas has an incentive attached to each ticket that their telephone operators book on home delivery, for which they charge 15 rs extra. In the same manner, the guy over the phone last night, just to complete his month end target, sold me something which is not part of the rulebook of wave cinemas. Now my entire evening has already been ruined, but I surely shall go to waves tonight to teach these guys to owe upto responsibility.
