I have been a regular client at Century Salon, Mulund East since the past 2 years and from what I have seen is a gradual fall from what was one of the best and professional salons of Mulund East to a mere money making business which is interested only in ripping of customers.
Of late the attitude of the staff and the owners equally has been very rude and distressing. The staff couldnt care less about your appointment timings, your skin needs or your overall well being.
I can give a benefit of doubt to the female therapists here since all the good ones have left the salon for lack of good pay and frequent tiffs with the owner(one of the therapists told me this herself. all pros of being a frequent visitor) and the ones remaining are overworked. The moment you walk in and speak out about the service you want, you would be offered the most priced option on the services card, whether you want it or not. This could be a strategy in all parlors but this one in particular wasnt so before.
The services card is a big joke. Facials start from 3000(for members) and if you opt for something as low as 1500 you are told its not available. So basically the customers are left with little to no choice when it comes to services. On a day when you want to do facials, pedicure and hair, be ready to shell out as close as 10k in a single setting.
Some of the current staff is rude and arrogant. I personally had one of the therapists bluntly rather rudely telling me to wait for half an hour after my appointment time since she was busy entertaining another client. So much for booking an appointment a day prior.
Advice to the management - Value your staff and hence your customers. You exist because they do.
Advice to the staff - If you are overworked, bring that to the owners notice. Venting your frustration on the customers will only make you lose them.
