I happened to see this movie in METRO ADLABS - MUMBAI on Saturday 23-Jun-2007. In this review I will revealing some part of the storyline. The movie is about Karan (Zain Khan) who lives in an orphanage run by John Kakkad. At the orphanage, the kids have to do all work. Among the kids, there is a troublemaker called Raghav dada. One day somebody donates a box of old toys which is shared among the children. Karan is very fascinated and wants to become a cricketer. He gets hold of Kapil Dev’s bat of the 1983 world cup.
Karan finds out that his bat has magical powers, as every stroke hits the boundary.Simultaneously, There is a one-day match on going between India and Pakistan, with India on the verge of losing the series. Indian cricket team coach notices him. he takes Karan in the Indian team and he becomes the best batsman in the team.Entangled with all this is the story of VARUN (Rahul Bose), the captain of indian cricket team. India wins two matches with the help of Karan but on the final match, Karan’s magical bat is destroyed. He then loses his confidence and is afraid to face the crowd. Here I leave the story for you to be seen in the theatre.
Zain Khan delivers a awesome performance. Raghav Dada is outstanding. Rahul Bose delivers a good supporting role The final song and title track of the film is cool. This movie is a great inspiration for Kids and a must watch for a family with kids.
