Shahrukh plays the role of former hockey captain who has faced severe humiliation and is looking for an opportunity to redeem his lost glory. When you see the movie you feel as though experiencing the real life trauma along with Shahrukh. This is a movie without skimpy dressed heroine, kingsize hero or elaborate sets(a la SLBansaali) It is a very realistic movie showing the former Hockey captain living ain a small lane in a small ancesteral home. The girls look so real you will take them for representing their respective states in real life also. The difference in their background is shown very well but in a very short and crisp manner just by introducing them.
The girls dorm looks miserable in contrast the vicecaptain of the Indian cricket team is shown to be restng in the 5* hotel room. There are no unrealsitic scenes like in the match between the men- women teams the girls lose the match. Everything is well researched and crafted well. Three cheers to Shahit Amin. The music is of hollywood standard. By the time the movies ends you long for more.
