How did Indian hockey womens team qualify for the worldcup if they were a bunch of girls who had a little interest in Hockey?
Why did the womens hockey federation even think of sending them to world tournament if they had no sponsors and no good players.
Why did a discipline teaching "Kabir Khan" did not wear helmet when he rode the scooter after gettting appointed as Indian womens hockey coach?
Why did KrishnaJi did not help the girls get their way, if she was a part of the team...
Was Vidya Sharma saying Vidya Sharma - India the reason for her becoming the captain?
Why did Preeti Sabharwal reject Abhimanyu Singh after winning the world cup?
*All these questions left apart the film seems to go well.
Whether inspiring or coincidental the Indian mens Hockey team went on to win the Asia Cup matches with margins like never before (atleast not after I was born)... and the cricket team bringing the T20 world cup home.
The film clearly showed the different treatments that are given to these games. Asian Champions in total as a team with their awesome performance did not win as much as a single cricket player did. Thats what exactly was highlighted in the movie.
Nor did Vishwanathan Anand, winning a mind game get that heros welcome, money or fame.. hardly first pages, and headlines in a channel that calls itself "fastest of All" (Hey channel, certificates are to be given by others, not by selves).
This channel was the one that diverted the camera to Kabir Khan shaking Hands to the Pakistani captain in the movie, which is very natural at the end of any game and made a normal handshake a "sansanikhez khabar! ".. and this channel was showing how to call ur mobile from someones else mobile number without using his number! This channel should be banned for spreading wrong messages, people get negatively attracted!
"Fastest of them" all apart, the movie shows the unkindness of Indian public, , , which does not reflect the true Indian spirit of sports. The treatment showed to Kabir Khan may be applicable in some other country , , not too far away from India, but not here. Here we have coins with heads on one side and tails on other.
The movie shows two things clearly, to win in a game you should have the team spirit and discipline alongwith the desire to win! That will alone help to win.Secondly the movie also shows the cohesion of a team does not come only on field but across the way the team moves.Thirdly to win you need to overcome the aggression mentally over the opposition, and you can ride away to victory.
The way the team wins had to be made like that.. it could have been written some other way as well.
The behaviour of Northern States people, (Hindi Speaking States) to other states has been clearly emphasised, Nethra Reddy gives a wonderful reply when she says " Tamil aur Telugu mein utna hi farak hai jitna Punjabi aur Bihari mein"
The north-eastern girls getting embarrassed on listening to the words that " aap hamare mehmaan hai" and replying "Apne hi desh mein mehmaan?"
Over and over a film you can see once., ., if you are interested to listen to some hard dialogues twice.
Kabir Khan : " Sabse pehle India ke liye khelna, baad mein apni team ke saathiyo ke liye, aur agar thodi bahut jaan bach jaaye to apne liye"
Like Komal Chautala saying " Maaf karna hai? thane jaana hai?"
"Haath Pakkad ke to dekhe"
"Mujhe Kya bhediye ne kaata hai jo tujhe bulavungi?"
These are memorable listen to them once.. Really inspiring! The characters of Bindiya Naik, Komal Chautala, Sui mui, Nethra Reddy, all look good. The expenditure for the movie can be put in the classification of Capital Expenses, as it has good Returns and teaches nice things! Thanks for reading, do not forget to rate and to comment!
