The movie is about the rebounding of Kabir Khan played by SRK who leads his group of ladies to a world title. But I think it is also the rebounding of SRK the actor after the disaster of Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna where he was plain intolerable. SRK bounces back and plays the role to perfection.
Nothing more...nothing less. The story line though predictable is fresh in the sense of being free of inane dances and the sickeningly boring Swiss/South African landscapes. Chitrashi Rawat gives a great performance. The sports scenes could have been done better...
They are not on par with the scenes from Prakash Jha’s Hip Hip Hurray (anyone remember that?) the plot never loses focus on sports and the climax is very well done. Kudos to Shimit AMin to have brought some sense into Bollywood. Need more movies of this type from him and SRK.......Please please please do not do any more Karan Johar movies.
