Yash Raj films have been doing terrible lately with ta ra rum pum pum being below average at the box office and Jhoom barabar Jhoom bombing at the box office, Yash Raj films is not having a good year so far. Chak de India might do not so good at the box office but does this film have a messege? Does this film make its country proud? well I am going to have to say YES!
The film is all about not giving up and over coming the odds and making not only you proud but making your country proud. Hockey is a sport india is good at but yet it does get ignored alot by many countrys and nations evan some indians do not know India has a good hockey team!
The story is brought together, Kabhir Khan (SRK) he in the movie is an ex indian captin, he is now coaching the womens hockey team. No one wanted to know or take a the job of training a bunch of girls up kabhir khan does, He chrecter has great hope and faith in what he does. The girls he trains at first does not know how its like to play for pride and there love for there country. Kabhir Khan has a bad past and he knows he will only get one chance to have the name on the trophie he wants so bad. He was more like a has been which he does not like. The connection Kabhir has with his team is really amazing, and makes you fall in love with the coach. There are many amazing scenes in the movie the suttar mins scene srk does pour his heart out and it does hit you.
Performances Its not SRKS best off all time I would say its below swades, but still is better then DON and KANK infact its prob better then veer zaara performance. No Over acting or stupid moments by this chrecter. He does do well, so I do tip my hats off to him!
The songs are okay not much time for them in this movie, the hockey played in this movie has some great moments its not at the edge of your seat thing but its decent enough. The story does do two things its senseable cinema meaning its not a stupid popcorn flick but yet its entertaning and it does not get boring. So great performances and entertaining enough is all you need I will recormend this product as it is really worth a watch. Yes I would watch this movie again and it does beat all the other not so good movies that we have all seen recently. A good script was needed and no this film is not copied from Gridon gang or coach carter its alot diffrent just watch it for yourself and you will find out. All I can say is more hockey is in the secound half for all you hockey fans.
As the girls they all do well Preeti Sabarwal does really well and is a good actor, the rest did an amazing job too. This film will make india proud so please do watch it, it does desurve to be a super hit atleats but I really don’t think it will collect that much money I am guessing it will only collect 25 crs totally. I would say atleast 14-13crs first week and and 6crs next well then drop to 3crs and end at 25crs to 27crs thats my prediction. But otherwise do watch this movie it is enjoyable and the real and old shahrukh khan is back meaning shahrukh khan "The actor" not the "Superstar", do not miss it people..
