*Fantabulous** & all synonyms for the same is the one word description of this movie. Sports based theme was the only motivation for me to go watch it that too with a doubly priced ticket for a couple. But Chak de India was **worth** each rupee & minute spent on it.The theme which is Indian Womens Hockey has really been very nicely brought from Real to Reel life.
A necessary boost for the state of hockey in our country today. I suppose not many Indians even know of it to be our National Sport.The **Casting** is the Best thing I liked about the movie. Each & every character is so very well chosen. Hats off to the casting & direction team. My favourites are Balbir Kaur, Poonam Chautala & Bindya Naik.The pace of the movie is also good with no unnecessary scenes or songs.
Unlike other typical bollywood movies this one really builds the **Continuity **& wont allow you to take your eye of the screen !The other good thing is the **Peppy** & Zippy soundtrack of this movie. The **Lively **music gels so well with the plot that you start feeling part of the character & scene. I liked the Bad Bad girls track so much that its now the ringtone of my mobile.
Although not much of a Sharukh Khan fan but I must say the actor is a real **Hero** in this one. Dont think any other actor would have pulled off such a excellent performance with the given character.With India celebrating 60 years of Independence this year this is one movie I recommend every Indian **must see**. It will surely give you that much needed kick of **Patriotism** & **Sportsmanship** which I think is the need of the hour !!
