I was just curious since I had seen the trailer of Chalo Dilli long back when it got released but some how I couldnt see it. Then one day, suddenly I stumbled upon this movie on mouthshut.com and thought of watching it today, I did it!!!!
Vinay Pathak is the heart and the soul of this movie. Without him, I think it would have been impossible to narrate such a great trip. I am no Lara Dutta fan, but she did a fine job that aptly complemented Vinay Pathak. I feel sad now that such a talented actress finds no good role in recent cinemas. Akshay Kumar, in guest appearance, is charming as usual.
Apart from lead cast who form the crux of the movie, the other supporting casts have been outstanding. Infact, it is these supporting actors who play a small but vital, compounding role in the making of a masterpiece. Casting Directors, thus, earn my most respect for this classic tale. Scene after scene, level of engagement rises. One starts enjoying the trip and sillyBhaisaab(Vinay Pathak) more than the story. The way things fall one after another and the manner in which everytime Vinay Pathak says " Kaun si Badi Baat Ho Gayi" is fascinating. Thus, Director has done a fantastic job of story telling.
Songs are not good and I hardly can recollect any. But music is good and glorifies the impact of the scenes.
Scenes have been shot very nicely. Dhaba sequence remains my favorite. Chalo Dilli is a lighthearted entertainer that would surely help you rejuvenate and take back a good lesson for life. I believe a movie which teaches something good is a must watch.
One lesson I learned is that I would like to share is ;that a person is more than his outward behavior.
Another good reason to watch this movie is the quotient of humor it has in it. Neither it is completely deprived of good jokes not it is a ROFL comedy. the number of Pjs and situational comics and timings make it suitable to be watched over and over again.
If you havent seen it yet, do watch it.
