We recently stayed in this resort. Simply a beautiful place. Well maintained, nice staff and good guest services. You can walk to the calangute beach from this resort which is one of the main beaches of Goa. The resort is just by the beach side. Rooms does not have a beach view but once you come out of the room, talk a small walk and you will be on the beach. The arrangements made by the resort like beach beds and chairs are good. These are just by the beach and they are there for you all the time to relax.
The rooms are decent, well maintained. Do not expect a FIVE star facilities, but you will not be disappointed. Ambience of the resort is cool. Again, as this is just by the beach, once you play or take a bath in the beach, you can be back to your room in 5 min. As this place is very close to the beach, please note that this is a bit far from Calangute main road. So if you want to do a lot of shopping, eating in Calangute area, you will need to walk 15 to 20 min. You have private taxis available all the time outside the resort.
The only negative in my opinion is food in the restaurant. Out of our one week’s stay, we tried the food in their restaurant twice but later decided that it’s better to try out side. Since this resort is close to the Calangute beach, you are never out of options for food. Within 10 min walk you will come across beach shacks and other restaurants. This resort’s restaurant has a nice beach view. They arrange candle light dinners in the evening.
Overall, I think it is a bit expensive. Their rooms tariffs vary depending on the time of the year. However, given that this is very close to the beach and the facilities they have I am sure Chalston will be my choice whenever I travel to Goa.
