Definitely not what I was expecting. It’s not the most gripping movie in the world to be sure... but it grows on you. ShahRukh and Rani turn in perfect performances as always... Personally, I loved every song. There’s nothing in this film overdone or extremely glamorous, just a look into the lives of ordinary people. If you like SRK or Rani I would suggest this movie, but if you’re looking for a spectacular film...stick with Devdas. Also Saathiya is a wonderful movie extremely similar to this one which may hold more appeal for some. It also starts Rani.
Chalte Chalte, without a doubt, was the first real hit this year. Overall, Chalte Chalte is a very realistic film without the overwhelming dance routines and sets that come with many Bollywood films.
Songs wise- Gum Shuda and Suno Na were my favorites, both very original.
