Just wanted to share my experience with 3M CR70 install on the front windshield on my Figo. Did some research on the net to know the best film for front windshield. Found there were quite a few no. of sunfilm from 3M, Llumar, vKool, Garware etc specific to front windshield. But reading many posts found that 3M was the best other than vKool, considering the cost.
Visited many shops around New BEL road, Bangalore to get the price quote. 3M Car care in Ashwathnagar quoted 7.5K for CR70. While Mr. Amit at Chameleon New BEL road quoted 6.5K. He is very very good at business talks. Decided to go with Chameleon and that was the biggest MISTAKE I made. First they made me wait for 2 hrs and finally the guys who will install the film came to the site. Did the install OK. But finally when they were done with the install found that they have burnt the ceiling foam close to the windshield. Owner of Chameleon Amit did not respond appropriately.
He instructed the guys to clean it up with the tooth brush and shampoo. Also found that they spoiled the rubber gasket which was stick to the bottom of the glass. Unfortunately I noticed all this after I had made the payment. No one was ready to accept the mistakes. Finally to my surprise Amit did not give me the warranty card from 3M. He just gave a bill and that’s the warranty card L, he said. End of the day the ceiling foam was burnt, gasket damaged and sunfilm without warranty card. So please be careful before visiting such showrooms.
