Before starting my review on CHAMELI....

The Review...
Well as you know another weekend is ahead and as usual my time pass is watching movies and write about them here. So I just watched CHAMELI and here I am with my review and opinion about the movie.
The movie is about a one night stand between a prostitute and a well settled and educated man. Directed by Sudhir Mishra, known for the movie IS RAAT KI SUBAH NAHIN.

The Plot...
Movie starts with Aman Kapoor trying to live life after losing his dear wife in an accident caused due to his stubborness.While driving aimlessly in a rainy night his car broke down.
He takes shelter in under a nearby building where he meets Chameli.Beacause of the rainy night both Chameli and Aman has to spend night under the same building. Then starts the daily happening as how she deals with police waalas, from the goons, how she helps one of her close friend to run away with her lover, her bond as a sister with an orphan boy. These are the events in the life of Chameli which brings Aman somewhat closer to her and here begins the spark of love between both of them.
My Opinion...
Chameli is not a movie worth to watch. It is a movie which is not complete from any angle. Neither the story reveals about the past of Chameli character, nor does the movie show what happens to Chameli in the end.
Movie has nothing to offer as far as story is concerned. Movie runs at snail’s pace with no excitement at all. I kept on waiting during whole movie for something interesting to happen, but movie ends up in the same way as it was started.
The movie is half baked and incomplete. Don?t satisfy as it ends up with all loose ends.
Performance
RAHUL BOSE I was expecting something good from this actor as he has some brilliant performances under his belt like JHANKAAR BEATS, MR. and MRS. IYER. But unfortunately talented Rahul Bose is wasted in the movie because of very weak script. Though he has performed well in the role he was given, but he surely can do much better then this performance.
Karena Kapoor Better if I don’t talk about Kareena Kapoor. I don’t understand why director chose her to play the lead role in the movie. She was looking yuck in the movie. Hmm... may be that?s why director took her because A prostitute needs to look yuck. Her acting was really pathetic in the movie, making movie more difficult to tolerate
Yashpal Sharma he was the best in the movie. I guess no one knows him when this movie was released , but he delivered best performance.
Music
Music of the movie was given by Sandesh Shandiliya and background score by Vanraj Bhatia .Music was a big hit and songs topped all the top charts during their time
Best song was ’’Bhaage Re Mann’’ sung by Sunidhi chauhan.
Other song ’’Mann saat samundar Dol Gaya’’ was also hit but it was so so.
Background theme is really good and leaves impact on mind for a long time.
So final verdict is movie is not a worth dekho as it is half baked and have loose ends.
So this was about chameli.
