In this world of competition we all dream of achieving something big in our lives, our parents also do have great hopes from us. It’s an important decision to choose the right college for our higher studies, but is Chandigarh University right place for you.
I am going to write my personal experience here:
I didn’t appear for JEE MAINS I didn’t wanted to drop one year and then prepare of IITs and NIITs, almost confused between various other Universities like Amity University, Manipal, Thappar etc. But the Fee was quite high in them so I did a bit of research on Chandigarh University and found its placements quite good.
I took admission here now after coming I realized there was something less than what they actually portrayed, students are just taught like school kids from morning till evening, no doubt the infrastructure and cleanliness is great, but the since there’s no specific criteria for admission so the students with 90% marks and 50% marks seated in the same class. Attendance plays an important role here so 75% attendance is must here in order to sit in the examinations.
So while sitting in the class it seemed as if there were students merely sitting just for attendance and thus disturbing the whole class.
In spite of having such great infrastructure I still felt that the organisation lacked proper management as I never got my task done at my very first visit, like Govt. offices we are referred from one block to another as that thing was not of their department.
Students who wish to do something extra surely needs to put on their individual efforts as the faculty will simply teach and go it’s the students whose task is to to the application part. This University is a student oriented University because it involves the students point of view in taking any decision.
The University also emphasizes more on theoretical part than on application part, today its strength is more than 30K and companies which offer placement are 450+ surely there’s a lot of competition.
Individual efforts of students are required to get great placements from this place.
