Chandni Chowk Mental Hospital !

This is one restaurant I wanted to visit for some authentic north indian food. Forget authentic; the food is nowhere near to north indian food. Someone please go to New Delhi or Mumbai to taste the Butter Chicken, Mutton Rogan Josh and Prawns Amritsari. As I still maintain there are not more than 5-7 restaurants in Banglore which serve authentic north indian food.

The ambience does not exist in the first place. It looks like some shady desi bar meant for country liqour. The waiters are dressed like funny clowns. The menu card is the ugliest one I have ever seen. It’s difficult to rea it. The bright colours used for a curtain were enough to give me a headache. I think they should start serving complimentary crocin or vicks 500. The stone benches made me feel as if I was sitting in some state prison.

The food is strictly decent. It’s not the authentic north Indian cuisine. I can say it is good. As far as vegetarian food is concerned I found it really good. Try the Makhanwala, Panner Tikka and Kormas.

Their Non-Veg food is not the way I expect North-Indian food to be. The chicken gravies are decent but not the way it’s made in New Delhi, Amritsar, Lucknow or Mumbai.

The price you pay is too much for the cat food they serve.
