“Every movie can’t teach you facts of life, sometimes it can bring smile and say yes this can be one of the fantasy we live in. …”

Before I start this review, I wanted to speak a few words for the so called critics!.

Every individual has his opinion and most of the time we have observed that the opinion is based on the person’s likes and dislikes so we can’t make that as a basis for actually doing something or not. Film critics 80% of the times are influenced by the marketing team or the rival movie maker and finally these are individual opinion so all you Critics can take a walk.

As far the critics opinion onCC2C, it was bound have viral reaction due to some of these reason:An attempt by US production house so lets bring them down and they are not great its just that they have money – “This would be reactions by Indian Production house”

Akshay Kumar is a good actor and has survived and giving competition to Khans’s especially the self praising SRK. – “ Obviously why should anyone give this good guy a chance lets stay loyal to SRK even if he makes a crap like Rab ne bana de J(G)odi & OSO.

We Indians have become smart and can appreciate only movies like Wednesday & Slumdog Millionaire(Which in my opinion was fantastic). – “ We don’t like bad sense of humor as we are born to see critically acclaimed movie and not Govinda style of humor.”

What is so big about Chinese Action – “ We can’t digest that a guy can fly and still appreciate movies like Matrix because we are all Indians and we are not used to this kind of action which according to us is unbeliveble.

If you believe in the above points so please don’t really waste your time in reading this review as you are one of those Intelligent movie viewers who can identify what is good for them and what is really a waste of money. I am not here to give all of you the gyan of film making nor am I here to tell you that please stop expecting to much from Hindi movies.

I am one of those movie buff who can enjoy Slumdog Millionaire with an intelligent mind and can equally enjoyCC2C by giving my Intelligent mind some relief that I am not born to be working in NASA or ISRO.

CC2C … the review

CC2C is story of Sidhu(AkshayKumar) a small time cook who talks to vegetables and believes like most of us that he would be rich some day. Even though this moronostic behaviour of Sidhu is laughable at times but that’s the truth how dumb or intelligent everyonewants to be rich. Even though his father like figure Dada(Mithun) believes that our destiny is in our own hands and tries to make Sidhu belive in a goodway and the leg way our Sidhu is destined to use all the means. In his quest for getting rich quick he has got a con man, Chopstick(Ranvir) who makes us believe that he is half indian and half chinese. Meanwhile in China there is a dangerous smuggler Hojo(Gordon Liu)who has made a village captive and uses these men to do his work in short they are slaves. These villagers want a saviour and they are made to believe that Sidhu is the reincarnation of the great Chinese Warrior King.

Hence our Sidhu begins his ourney to China who was not aware that Chopstick has given him only the half truth of which shows great future but not the dangers lurking Sidhu’s life. In his journey hemeets Sakhi(Deepika Padukone) who has her own story of a lost father and her twin sister(Meow) who is now working for Hojo. Hojo was responsible for Sakhi’s speration from her father and sister.

Once when Hojo finds out the truth about Sidhu he kills Dada. Then starts the typical Hindi revenge Saga in Chinese Fashion.

Based on the above plot what kinda movie can any film maker make or has been made. The answer is inumerable hence its no rocket science that we would find similarities in many movies and there are bound to criticism by the Intelligent lot. I feel this is one time entertainer and everyone should just go and watch it for Akshay Kumar’s excellent comic timing though not one of his best but still can keep you laughing and engaged.

Please don’t miss the martial arts training sequence with Akshay kumar which I found was really funny with Akshay at his best. Even though its not your typical chinese training this is a Martial art’s training with spicy indian tadka. Again for all those intelligent viewers if you find this to be too lame and have seen the better version oft his then I am really sorry this is not a serious film or a film which would be presented with a Oscar nomination this is a film for free bird Indian masala auidence and for your information we loved it. Because while watching in the houseful multiplex their was not even one time you would find people not enjoying.

The only disappointement for mewas more action sequence from Deepika because I was expecting more after thefirst sequence as Meow. She is no Luciy Lui or Uma Thurman but this lady hasgot all to look good while doing those action scenes. All you intelligentviewers if you think even Smriti Irani could have done better action sequencein those idiotic sitcom then sorry once again to disappoint you.

The other cast were equally goodincluding the joker Ranvir and the hindi speaking Chinese actor Roger Yuan whoplayed Deepika’s Chinese father. Most of the Chinese villians are never overthe top and very typical that is what Gordon Liu was. The only disappointementfor me was not seeing more of Mithun dada. I guess he deserved more but then I amnot a intelligent viewer so for me even this much of Mithun Dada was good enough.

If you can give thumbs of up for Punjab Power, can bear the idea of Ajay devgan in a Comic role and of course ifyou think Marriage video cassettes makes up for a good movie then CC2C isbetter of all the above lot.

I enjoyed this movie just like any other Akshay Kumar movie and I would suggest forget those crappy one sidedCritics and enjoy your weekend with this one time entertainer, of course unless you are that “Intelligent Lot”!
