Music: Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy
While watching the promos of CC2C, we actually feel excitement about its Music-How it is? Thanfully, its not in those list of today’s flop music albums. Bollywood was waiting for such an album for a long time. But this album has many ups and downs. Some of the tracks are perfectly good while some are hardly likable.
The Album starts with-Chandni Chowk To China which will certainly rock not only India but also China because this song has a unique mix of Indo-Chinese music and keeps us to feel to listen it again. Niraj Sridhar, Anushka Manchandani and Shankar Mahadevan have done a fabulous job!
S.I.D.H.U is like a Punjabi-type song but lacks the punch. It seems the song somewhere is missing some of its contents . The song so far is peppy but nothing extra-ordinary because of the missing punch but it is a fun.
Tere Naina is a soft romantical song with just a Chinese touch. The song will roam in our mind when the climate will be silent and warm. Shankar Mahadevan again, proves that he one of the best. The song will also be liked by today’s youth.
Chak Lein De is an another Kailash Kher composition. This song does not work because we cannot understand whether it is a funny song, romantical or simple song. Kailash Kher tries to make it unique but the other factors do not support him.
India Se Aaya Mera Dost is just a modern version of Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost sung by Bappi Lahri. Bappida is back after a long time with such song. But he is not the true bappida. The song is also not very pure at heart.
Chandni Chowk To China-1 or CC2C can be compared to Akshay Kumar and Snoop Dog’s- Sinngh is kinng version. But this song is not full of fun nor it is perfect, it lower than that. It lacks confidence and just runs on one track and does not entertains us.
Lyrics and Vocals-
The lyrics of the film are mostly funny except some of the songs. These are well written by Rajat Arora, Bohemia and Kailash Kher. The uniqueness of these lyrics is that each of the songs are different from each other.
Every Vocal of each song has been perfomed very well. But there’s nothing extraordinary in them. For a broader sense, If Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy could have introduced with new singers, it would br more better.
*OVERALL
*Overall, The music of Chandni Chowk To China has been made with deep study of Chinese music and a moderate touch of Desi Music. But it was not expected such a dumbfolded and unpeepy album. It totally dosent meet our expections.
