Chandramukhi Rocks!!

I feel I should write something about one of the most entertaining albums to have released in recent times. And since this film carries huge hype and expectations, a review needs to be written. This album is a super-hit from the Word go!! Baba had techno music and music which are not the usual mass entertainers. I do not prefer to comment on baba’s music but Chandramukhi has music for everyone - melody, fast beats, folk, classical, etc. Its a complete album and what you call ’’MASALA’’ album. And it doesnt take a scientist to say that Rajini is going to be a factor for the success of this album

Devuda Devuda - SPB

Rocking song!! Am starting to imagine how roaring the opening week audience would be to this song!!!! I also stand by the fact that SPB is the best ever singer for Rajnikanth and should not be neglected for any Rajni movies. His voice is energetic and his ’’REPEATUUUUUUU....’’ would be loved by the audience. The song starts with the instrumentation giving it a similarity close to Muthu’s Oruvan Oruvan Mudhalali. But who cares? This song is going to rock the charts!!

Annanoda Paattu - KK, Karthik, Sujatha

Another entertaining song of the album. Although it has similarity to Appadi Podu from Ghilli, this song is kept alive by KK and Karthik’s voice. The hit of this song is the ’’Ippudu Choodu’’ from the Super Star and it also has tunes of ’’Ennadi Rakkamma’’ from the Sivaji Ganesan film ’’Pattikada Pattanama’’ (Probably has to do with Sivaji Productions!). This song is also a sure shot chartbuster even before the movie releases

Kokku Para Para - Tippu, Manicka Vinayagam, Rajalakshmi

This song also will become a super-hit once the movie releases. The female singer, Rajalakshmi does a great job. The kids enhance the song. Tippu as usual is effervescent and lively. Good instrumentation by Vidyasagar. This song should go down well with the kids who watch this movie!

Konja Neram - Asha Bhosle, Madhu Balakrishnan

A sweet melody song by Asha Bhosle and Madhu Balakrishnan. Ashaji sounds a bit old for Nayanthara. Madhu Balakrishnan is the next Jesudas. Though the song is good, it might lose out to the other numbers once the film releases!

Athinthom - SPB, Vaishali

SPB again rocks!! WHAT A SINGER??? He is the life of the album as a whole!! Vaishali compliments him well in this song. Good music by Vidyasagar.

Raa Raa - Binni Krishna Kumar, Tippu

This song stumps me! The music is very good with the female singer doing an excellent job along with Tippu. But the lyrics are totally not understandable. Its in telugu. Anyways, heard Fazil’s classic ’’Manichithra Thazha’’ had a Tamil song and many say this movie is an inspiration from that! So, should be a good situational song!! This song totally relies of artist performance (Jyothika and Super Star!)!

On the whole, Vidyasagar has delivered!! Its unfair to compare previous Rajni albums with this. This album, according to the current trend, is a sure shot blockbuster!! Devuda Devuda will be an anthem for the fans of the Super Star while kids are going to love Kokku Para Para. Hearing that this album has made historical sales. Congrats to the whole team and eagerly awaiting for the big day for the movie to release!
