For those who dont understand hindi, this is philmi ishtyle from the (in) famous bollywood where we are repeatedly beat over the head with repetitions, remixes and redones in various forms, shapes, sizes and characters!
Hey, even I seem to be writing better nowadays! should contact some director and make a film!!
I normally dont write negatively oriented reviews, but for the whole of this year, I havent seen a GOOD hindi movie and I am frustrated with the largest movie producing fraternity in the world.
Hey directors, don your thinking caps on and see what films you have been making. The cinegoer crowd also is looking for something new and novel and you guys give us the same old stuff remixed (which rather sadly, seems to be the order of the day). A few days ago, I had the immense misfortune of having to watch Agnivarsha and boy, I then understood that even a star cast like that can ensure that the film doesnt run for over a week! For those of you who havent watched it, consider yourself lucky and dont think of wasting 3 hrs! Then, I again had the misfortune of watching some film starring hrithik roshan and esha deol- I dont even remember the name! Oh god. I would have been better off watching a chinese movie!
One thing is, we have to hand it to ramgopal varma for trying to change the face of indian cinema time and again- first with Shiva, then with Satya and now with Road. Whether the movie is good or bad, atleast he is trying to change a paradigm in indian cinema!! We need many more like him. Another one is Mahesh Bhatt- He made Raaz, then Kasoor and now Gunaah. If you guyz have seen the promos, all three look like re releases with different names! Even the star cast is similar! Then, they say the film is not a hit hahahahahahahaha.
Too much of mafia involvement and foreign impact seems to have diluted the ideas which our guys would normally have had!
HIT FORMULA (Old)-
A hero and a heroine (one has to be rich and one has to be poor), a common villain, hero, heroine meet with a quarrel and then a fight and quarrel changes to love, fathers dont agree, plot, sub-plot, sub-sub-plot and lovey dovey at the end, laced with a club number and of course, dont forget the blind mother and listening god!!
Pit formula (New)-
A hero and a heroine (Both filthy rich, masquerading their wealth on mercs, helicopters, etc.), Go abroad even to take a leak!, lot of songs (Not necessarily understood as to why they are singing), villain not necessarily needed as any extra artist can perform a rape scene!, comedy (or something like it!-slap stick), first half- all glam and second half- all wham!!
Anyone in bollywood listening??
