CHARAS:
No intoxication this! Went for the show first day after all a movie with Irfan, Uday, Jimmy, Namrata and Hrishita promised good entertainment and ?charas? to go with!
Tigmanshu?s first movie was good not great, this is a movie with excellent visuals of the mountains. The scenes where Jimmy and Uday travel from Delhi to manali are beautiful alas they should have used The Royal Enfield instead of the Enticers (some phirangs and baddies are shown riding bullets though).
The main theme is good but the director strays from it and goes into unnecessary flashbacks and spoils the mood. It would have been a thriller otherwise.
The only characters that make sense are Irfan?s, Jimmy?s and Uday?s . Namrata was ok but I am still wondering what Hrishitaa was doing in the movie because of the footage she got.
Irfan Khan is a good actor and he is choosing his movies well , I hope to see more of his skill in better movies. Adam Bedi(son of Kabir Bedi) plays a small role, which cannot determine his acting skill.
One good aspect of the movie is that they have portrayed the phirangs in a very natural way, which most Hindi movies don?t.
The Italian and the Afghani aspect should have given more importance and not to mention Charas.
A seeable movie anyways (compare it to last weeks Main Hoon na) but not captivating.
