Dear Friends,
This is in continuation to my reviews of restaurants in Pune. Charcoal pit is my all time favourite for a nice dinner with friends.
Located bang on MG Road (Camp) and that too on the roof-top. This I call Naturally air-conditioned as it is open to air (of course covered from top). The ambience is made well on the terrace, which gives a panoramic view of Pune at night.
The cool breeze will take out all your hatred, boredome and strain of a long working day. Just relax with a soft drink or a beer with friends and enjoy.
They have kept the menu very selective, therefore all the preparations are excellent. The kitchen is just in front of you, so you can see things being cooked for you.
The service is very quick (if you ask for it), else they would not hurry you up. The sitting is strictly ordinary (plastic chairs and ordinary tables) but who cares sitting on the rooftop? I dont.
Reservations are not necessary. On a crowded night, you have to wait on the other side of the terrace for about 15-20 minutes.
You could also book the terrace for a small party or get-together (dont forget to invite me!)
In all a prize winner, if you consider the pricing, food quality and ambience.
