I have been watching charmed for quite sometime now. I am so hooked on to it that I even dream about it. I wait eagerly for Wednesday nights for it to be telecasted. I have to say, I am totally charmed by the charmed ones namely Piper, Phoebe and Paige.
When the show first started the charmed ones were Prue, Piper and Phoebe. However Prue dies about 2 seasons back. Then they discover Paige who is their long-lost half sister. Paige was born to their mother and her whitelighter (angels sent to protect good witches). Therefore is half witch and half whitelighter. Since the union was illegal, they had sent Paige away. Since the charmed circle has to have 3 witches, Paige becomes part of it.
Piper (Holly Marie Combs) is the oldest and the sanest of them all. She is the owner of p3, a club. She is married to the charmed ones’ whitelighter Leo (Brain Krause). Though their marriage was at first disapproved by the elders (leaders of the whitelighters), they eventually accepted it. They have a son named Wyatt Matthew Halliwell.
Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) is the middle sister who doesn’t really have luck when it comes to relationships. She was married to Cole (Julian McMahon) who was a demon. He was sent to destroy the sister but fell in love and married Phoebe. However, he later became the source (leader of demons) and phoebe divorced him. Soon the charmed ones vanquished him. She is now working as a journalist and is dating her boss.
Paige (Rose McGowen) is the youngest long-lost sister. She is impulsive and headstrong. She used to work as a social worker but now she is dedicated to her “job” as a witch and helps in making potions to vanquish the demons.
The current season ended with Leo becoming an elder. Therefore he has to leave Piper and his son. Chris who came back from the future to help the charmed ones defeat the titans becomes their new whitelighter as he cannot return to the future (it will be different as the titans are now defeated. Paige decides she is going to take a break from being a witch and catch up with her friends and work. Phoebe plans to date other guys as her boss is now in Hong Kong.
The reason why this series is so captivating is mainly due to the actors, the supernatural element and the plot. I can’t wait for the new season which starts on Feb 5. Hope you would watch it too. Believe me, its really good!
