Bad experience, under qualified & untrained staff

I had to take one injection in morning, as my husband leaves early in the morning, we decided to take injection in chaya super speciality hospital(#6, 5th Main, B Channasandra Main Road,

KasturiNagar, Bangalore - 560043), as we stay close to this hospital. One day earlier we enquired if staff will be there for giving injection and they have told you can come at any time, directly

go to emergency room, nurses will be there. Next day we reached around 6:30 AM to the hospital and we went with injection, syringe, a thick needle(1.20 X 38 mm) and prescription. Our doctor told

that you need to fill the syringe using thick needle then change the needle to thin one(which comes with syringe) and then take injection. I need to take these injections regularly and they are

very painful, once you have taken the injection it pains for around 3-4 days, my doctor told to put ice pack, but unable to find time for that. I was taking these injections near my office(EGL

Bangalore) at sannati hospital, daily once I use to explain the nurse at sannati that you fill the syringe using thick needle and give injection using thin needle and she use to follow that

procedure. Today as I was planning to work from home, we decided to take injection in chaya super speciality hospital.

In chaya super speciality hospital’s emergancy room there were two nurses and both of them were sleeping at 6:30 AM(its fine as there was not patients in the ward). We have asked one of the nurse

to give us injection and she said ok sure. She started preparing syringe, I told her twice that you need to use thick needle for filling up syringe then change the needle put thin one and give

injection, she replied rudly ok ok I know, don’t worry, lay down. While preparing injection I saw her she filled the syringe without needle(neither thick needle nor thin needle directly from the

injection bottle), I thought ok thats fine if she can able to fill without needle also ok. When she started giving me injection I was feeling too much of pain, then I thought may be because this

injection pains for few days and she might have given at the same place where I have taken earlier. When she removed the needle I saw that needle is very thick, then I asked her that I told you

twice still you have given me using thick needle, it was bleeding also for a while, she replied that madam, this injection if you give using thick needle it pains less(just an excuse, to safe

herself), I can feel the pain now also, its all because of her non-sense attitude(I know everything) or not sure if she wanted to save thin needle for her further use. Her name is Nusrat. When I

called hospital later same day, they told they dont have any provision to register a complain, without feedback from patients not sure how do they will improve there services. Please be aware of

such hospitals who dont have trained staff. If nurses are so under qualified and untrained that they cannot give one injection properly(when all instructions are given to her twice in advance), we

can think of the status of other staff in this hospital.
