Rohit Shetty is fast evolving into the modern David Dhawan, as is evident in his golmaal series and now chennai express. This movie is totally irrelevant and doesn’t even try to take itself seriously. And that really works for it.
Be it the ddlj parody in the beginning, flying ttc, drunk driving etc, this movie is total entertainment after the first 10 mins when the story is introduced.
What I found irritating was the homage Rohit Shetty is paying to all old SRK movies. Especially the end and the fighting scene, it is a given that SRK will get beaten up, then become the incredible hulk and beat everyone else. So much so, that the climax was the scene that was the most predictable and boring.
All and all a fun movie to watch, whomsoever be the company. Just leave your brains at home and you will enjoy this.
