My Aunt was taken to this hospital. She had a neurological problem and the hospital was given all these records. She was supposed to have a CAT scan, but several hospitals said it was not possible since she was too fidgety.
This hospital said they have done it on thousands. They promptly administered an anesthesia (which they deny) from which she never recovered. Even the death certificate was not issued by the hospital. The concerned doctor was one Sharada Menon (psychiatrist). The anesthetist name I do not know. But I wonder if it is a competent hospital at all since the very first link that showed up when I googled showed they were wrong to administer the anesthesia.
First submit all documents to this hospital by a mail so that they cannot claim they did not know.... And irrespective of religion, I suggest NOT to cremate, but to bury bodies so that they can be exhumed if required.
In fact most hospitals in India are this kind..... Be wary. Record all your conversations with the doctor lest they deny everything at a later stage..... Just switch on your mobile recorder each time you go to the doctor, even if it is to have a corn removed!!
I am not really concerned about the death of my Aunt. She was more of a vegetable. But the fact that she was killed this way by the hospital rankles my mind. Even a dog should be put away after telling his owners that this is what they will do.
