Pre Planned before a Week:
Here’s my story friends. I have called Chennai Packers & Movers 5 days before to schedule a move from "Choolaimedu" to "Vandalur" on 30th Aug 2009. I spoke with a lady "Rathi" in Customer Helpdesk(+91-44-26503011), she asked me some questions about the house hold items we have and the approximate estimate for the move.
I asked them to send the Movers by 10 AM on 30th Aug 2009(Sunday), she said positively "whatever time you say sir!". She also added that they’d make a confirmation about the Move on Saturday(29th Aug 2009) and they confirmed the same with me on Saturday.
Herecomes a twist in the planned move:
I & my family(1 yr old baby, wife, mil) woke up earlier on sunday and waiting for the so called Professional "Chennai Packers" to show up. Even after 10:30 there was no sign of "CPM(Chennai Packers &Movers).
I called the Customer helpdesk and enquired about theMove Schedule I made with the CPM 10AM. The Guy replied me politely that no one was around, no vehicle is available and some pathetic excuse stories that I don’t want to hear and said "Can I send the Guys tomorrow?".Then I asked him whether I could speak with his Manager. He said even manager was not available. What if I want to make a complaint. Then he gave the Mobile No.(98403110011) and manager name: Vijaya Shankar.When I tried to make a call, I got a "the mobile switched off" message. Great!!
Then I tried the helpdesk number again and I asked the below questions:
1)why didn’t they inform me earlier atleast before 1 or 2 Hrs instead of waiting for my call?
2)If they have already known that they couldn’t make it on sunday then why did they confirm me to Move on Saturday?
Then he started saying his pathetic stories about his earlier day problems that made me sick.Finally I asked him what he wanted me to do now?
He said, below options:
1) I could wait till tomorrow - Monday( even though he is not sure about the availability of vehicle).
2)I could make a Move with some other Packers& Movers around.
3)He would find a perfect packers and movers for me and call me back in 10 mins( I am sure he’d never call me.. hehehe).
My mistake is,
1) Evenwhen I have lots of P&Ms around my place I chose to move with CPM.
2)Forgot to check the reviews on Mouth_Shut what I usually do to even buy a small thing.
Conclusion:
Is this Professional Packers & Movers?? Definitely NO.
Ex: They dont even give you a Booking Number to enquire about the schedule you make.

I planned to move oneday earlier so that I could able to handle this issue nicely.But, that may not be your case!! Good Luck!!
