Not at all happy

I had approached Chennai Packers and Movers for shifting my things from Chennai to Trivandrum. Here is my little horrible experience. The charge was reasonable and packing was done decently. Had to pay 500 Rs to the packers as tip while loading. They promised to deliver by May 24th so I had to take leave for 2 days and waited at

Trivandrum on 24th. I called them on 23rd to confirm and the local person told it would be delivered on 25th. One day delay was acceptible for me. Again on 25th morning I called him and he again informed it would be delivered by 26th. Frustrated, I asked him why is it delayed. His reply was not clear and he cut the call. Then I called their main office and they informed that due to diesel shortage in TN it is delayed and my goods are in Madurai and would be delivered on 26th.

I told them I had to go back to work at Chennai and cannot wait any longer and fired them for the delay. A lot of calls were not attended and some time they promised to call back, but they never did. Since I had no more leave I left to Chennai on 27th and asked my Wife and relatives to receive the shipment. Again many calls to track but all in vain. Then one day they called and told the shipment is on the way. I received it on 31st May. To make things worse, they did not send any unloading persons. Only the lorry driver.

Luckily, I had arranged a neighbour. So three of them including the neighbour, my wife and my 65 old uncle did the unloading activity. There was a fridge, washing machine, a detatchable cot, bed, 6 chairs, 6 boxes. The lorry driver as too tired and old to help us. The cot was a little scratched during the transit.

So folks please be cautious if you are planning to approach Chennai P & M.

Sincerely,

Rense Jacob
