Please don’t opt for Chennai Packers and Movers even if you have no other choice. They are the most unprofessional, unreliable and inhumane packers and movers.

I was looking for a good Packers and Movers to send our household goods from Chennai to Hyderabad/Secunderabad. I got the reference of Chennai Packers and Movers from JustDial. Thought it would be a reasonable professional Packers and Movers but finally was very very disappointed with the quality of their service.
We called the Chennai Packers and Movers number listed in the JustDial page and spoke to a manager named Balaji(ph # 9X4X2X4X11) who said that it would cost approx Rs 18000/- for a full load dedicated truck from Chennai to Hyderabad. He sent a gentleman named Shiva(Ph # 9X4X4X4X45) to check the household things and give us a quote. Shiva came to our house and checked all the things and gave a quote of 20k to transport the goods from Chennai to Hyderabad. After I mentioned the initial quote from Balaji, Shiva said he was also ok with Rs 18000/-. We thought we got the best deal and were very happy with their quote.
On the day of packing and shifting, Shiva came in the morning to dismantle 2 A/Cs and charged Rs 1600/- for the same. In the afternoon, they sent one Mr. Parthasarathy(Ph # 9X4X7X8X03) and Mr. Bhoopathi with a 16ft truck to pack the things and shift. We informed Shiva, Parthasarathy & Bhoopathi that the truck they sent would not be sufficient to accommodate all our things. They said that this truck was only for local transport and they have a big truck waiting near their office to load the goods and deliver them the next day. We blindly believed them, paid the amount in full and were eagerly waiting for our goods the next day.
To our surprise, we did not receive our household goods the next day. There was no communication at all from Chennai Packers and Movers. When we called Balaji he said there was an issue with the vehicle and the goods would be sent the next day. Shiva’s version was that the goods already reached hyderabad and would be delivered in the evening. This went on for the next few days until one day their accountant Madhu(Ph# 9X9X9X6X11) calls us and says that the goods are still in Chennai and demanded additional Rs 11, 000/- from us to send the goods. He said that the company M.D. stopped the shifting of the goods as there was very less profit margin. He said that if we paid additional Rs 11, 000/- more he would send our goods immediately.
With the help of our local friends we tried to put pressure on Balaji(Manager) / Madhu(Accountant/ Asst. Manager) to deliver our goods asap. We received our goods on the 10th day in a shared truck(by some other vendor) which was used to transport sheep/goats from Maharastra to Chennai. No one from the Chennai Packers and Movers local office came to unload the things. We had to hire few helpers, with the help of a friend, to unload our things in the middle of the night. When we started unpacking the things, almost every valuable item was either broken or damaged.
Our family, including 2 children, had to stay in Hyderabad/Secunderabad without our goods for 10 days causing great inconvenience and distress to us. At the end, with all the factors taken into account, it was more expensive than the most professional packers and movers quote.
Don’t fall for lower quotes by the local cheap unprofessional packers and movers like Chennai Packers and Movers, please choose a good professional one even if it costs a bit more.
