Well in most games there is always the luck factor.you get lucky like in tenis or badminton the cock or ball hits the net and you are taken completely by suprise.in pool you are winning the game but accidently put the black ball in.in crickte you get a wicket but its a no ball.there are so many examples and I can go on and on, but I can say that chess is the only game along with checkers that luck is not the factor.it purely depends on ones skill and ones stratergies.
each player is given 8 pawns and 2 rooks knights and bishops and one queen and one king.each on similar positions on the opposite side of the board facig each other.each person has the same amount of time.the rules are same and so no one can say u got lucky and won.
i think chess is one of the few fare games where luck is not a factor.i am not writing on great chessmasters as this review is suppose to be on the game and not the players
